A service call has a shape, and it holds whoever turns up. It begins with the symptom you described on the phone and it ends with a price you agreed to before anyone opened anything. In between comes the part that decides everything else: finding out what has genuinely failed, rather than what the failure looks like from the outside. A slow drain and a partially collapsed line present identically at the sink. A high water bill and a wet patch in the yard can be one fault or two unrelated ones. Working that out is not billable theater — it is what determines whether the repair still holds in eighteen months.

Day to day the job is the ordinary end of the service list. Clearing drains with a cable machine or a jetter. Water heater repairs and replacements, and tankless units serviced or swapped. Running down leaks and repairing water lines. Toilets and flanges, sinks and faucets, shower and tub valves, cartridges, hose bibs, and the connections behind an appliance. Grinder pumps, which on this stretch of coast are their own regular category. Some of it is one fixture and one hour. Some of it opens up — a drain that keeps returning becomes a camera job, a leak that will not localize becomes a water-line question, pipe that fails repeatedly raises the repipe conversation. The standing rule on this site is that the size of a job follows the finding and never the reverse.

Some work stops at the edge of a certificate rather than the edge of anyone's ability. Gas fitting is licensed separately in Alabama and this company does not hold that certificate, so anything touching a gas line is not ours to take. Neither is septic pumping, well pump service, appliance repair, backflow assembly testing, or rebuilding a disposal that has already been fitted.
