Streamlined Plumbing is hiring a licensed journeyman plumber who can step into residential and light-commercial service work, learn the company's process quickly, and represent the business well in customers' homes and properties across Baldwin County.

This opening is based from Fairhope and serves customers across Baldwin County. Compensation, schedule, on-call expectations, and other employment details will be discussed directly with qualified applicants.

Day-to-day work

What you will be trusted to do

  • Diagnose, repair, replace, and install common plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Handle residential service calls independently after company-specific onboarding.
  • Explain findings and recommended next steps clearly and respectfully to customers.
  • Protect the customer's property, keep a clean work area, and leave the job ready for use.
  • Document work clearly with accurate notes, photos, and job details.
  • Care for the service vehicle, tools, materials, and equipment assigned to the job.
  • Communicate schedule changes, job complications, and follow-up needs promptly.
  • Follow applicable plumbing code, safety practices, and Streamlined Plumbing standards.
Required

Minimum qualifications

  • A valid, current Alabama Journeyman Plumber certificate.
  • At least three years of hands-on plumbing experience.
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company-vehicle eligibility requirements.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, make sound field decisions, and work responsibly without constant supervision.
  • A dependable, honest, and accountable approach to working in customers' homes and businesses.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Residential service and repair experience.
  • Experience with drain cleaning, camera inspection, water heaters, leak repair, sewer work, grinder pumps, repiping, or fixture replacement.
